At last night’s City of Menominee’s Finance meeting the Spies Public Library’s Klar bequest was a main topic of conversation. Last year, Spies Library received a gift from Klar’s in the amount of 1.9 million dollars and recently they have been looking at how they can get a return on their investment while making improvements to the library. City Manager, Tony Graff says, “the M and M Community Foundation approached the city and the library and would like to manage the funds in their foundation account.”

Graff says, “the foundations financial advisors will work with the library board.”
