A decision was made today as to whether former Menominee County Sherriff’s Deputy, Brian Helfert, would be bound over to the 41st District Court. At today’s court proceedings presiding Judge, Robert Jamo, addressed the court with his findings.  Judge Jamo says, “my conclusions are also based on my other probable cause findings.”

Menominee Prosecuting Attorney, Jeffrey Rogg, says, “he believes there are additional victims.”

Helfert is currently facing 17 felony counts involving sexual abuse. His preliminary trial is set for Monday, June 7th at 9:30am at the Menominee County Courthouse, in the 41st district court. Judge Mary Bargland will be presiding.
