There is a Free event that will take place on Tuesday, September 17th at the Bayshore Arts Center – formerly Theatre on the Bay. This is a coalition of several banking institutions, which include Integra First Federal Credit Union, Stephenson National Bank & Trust, and Peshtigo National Bank. They are also partnering with their local police forces, such as Peshtigo, Menominee, and Marinette. Committee member Laura Rowe says, “the event is in person, panel discussion, from these knowledgeable experts about fraud and fraud prevention.”

Avoiding scams means remaining vigilant. Be cautious with new websites and links, guard your personal information, don’t open an email from people you don’t know. Scammers are getting better and better by the day – learn how to protect yourself against fraud at “Fraud Defense: True Stories. Real Scams.” At 6pm on Tuesday, September 17th, at Bayshore Arts Center – formerly Theatre on the Bay at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay Campus.
