A Marinette man died when his vehicle crashed into a house. Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller reports that at 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, Marinette County Dispatch received a report of a one-vehicle crash at N5959 State Highway 180 in the Town of Porterfield. Deputies say a vehicle operated by 23-year-old Brady T. Walters of Marinette was traveling south on State Highway 180 when he failed to negotiate a curve, entered the ditch, and ultimately ended up crashing into a house. Walters, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained fatal injuries. Speed and alcohol appear to have been factors in the crash that remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office. Also assisting Marinette County deputies at the scene were members of the Grover Porterfield Fire Department, Aurora Medical Center—Bay Area EMS, and Wisconsin Public Service.
