On Friday, July 7th, Mark William Koldos ,37, of Stephenson was sentenced to prison by the Honorable Christopher S. Ninomiya, in the 41st Circuit Court. On April 29th, 2019, a detective of the Michigan State Police discovered that an inmate at the Residential Sex Offender Unit at the Oshkosh Correctional Institution (OCI) was receiving images via United States Postal Service (USPS) and electronic mail from EaglePro Photography (EaglePro), a business located in Menominee. The detective’s investigation revealed that Koldos was the owner of EaglePro and was sending photographs of children to his twin brother, an inmate at OCI. A search warrant was executed for EaglePro’s offices in Menominee. The investigation revealed that Koldos possessed a collection of Child Sexually Abusive Material (CSAM), including videos and still images depicting young females estimated to be between 10 and 12 years of age. Koldos fled to Virginia and was living under an assumed name there when he was arrested on the three-year-old warrant in October 2021, and extradited back to Michigan. Menominee County Prosecutor Jeffrey Rogg says, “While the internet is indispensable to our lives, it does have a dark side: pictures and videos that capture the sexual abuse of children are more common, and easier to access, than ever.

Koldos was sentenced to 2 to 10 years in prison for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material
