At yesterday evenings Menominee Area Public Schools Board of Education Committee of the Whole Meeting one of the many topics of discussion for the upcoming school year was the COVID-19 masking policy. School Board President Derek Butler says, “I am looking for guidance from the board as to how we are going to proceed… whether it’s masks or no masks.”
Butler says, “I hate this discussion, this is the hardest one we are going to have because there is no right answer.”
The School Board will also watch the CDC and Health Departments recommendations for the future and will also follow the proper social distancing guidelines. Voting of this policy will be in effect at a upcoming special Menominee Board of Education Meeting later this week.
