An adjourned initial appearance was held Monday for a Little Chute High School teacher accused of sexual assault in Marinette County. 45-year-old Jason LaVigne is facing one count of third-degree sexual assault for allegedly giving alcohol to a 16-year-old girl and then assaulting her during a trip to a cabin in the Town of Stephenson earlier this month. Just days after posting his $25000 bond, LaVigne was arrested by Appleton Police for violating the terms of that bond by attending a graduation ceremony in Appleton. Judge Jim Morrison has scheduled LaVigne’s preliminary hearing for July 16th. He’s also been charged with repeated sexual assault of a child in Outagamie County stemming from alleged inappropriate contact with a then-14-year-old girl in 1999.
