Last year’s highly successful Airport Open House will be returning this September. The event will be the same as last year, according to Airport Committee Chairman Larry Schei. The provider of helicopter rides will be different this year, as the committee approved hiring Chemair Helicopters of Green Bay to provide the rides. The event will again include a model railroad show, car show, and many other events. It is scheduled for Saturday September 8th.
The Airport Committee discussed whether they should add citizen representation to their committee. There was discussion of adding two additional seats, one representing users of the airport, the other representing the community at large. No decision was made, and committee members were asked to submit their ideas to the county administrator’s office for development of a draft of bylaw changes.
