Arctic weather will greet participants in the 12th annual WINTERFEST tomorrow at Victory Beach in Menominee. The first event, Da Yooper Pooper Toilet Trot, begins at 10:30am. Winterfest committee member Koreen Gordon says, “we encourage people to come on out and take part and watch.”
Gordon says,”we’re very fortunate to be in this amazing community with a lot of fresh water and with that comes some danger.”
Registration for Da Yooper Pooper Toilet Trot, Da Yooper Plunge, and Da Yooper Chill-Y Cook-Off will all begin at 9am at Murray’s Irish Pub and Grille. Da Yooper Plunge starts at Noon at Victory Beach, and at 12:30 Da Yooper Chill-Y Cook-Off at Murray’s. Presentation of the awards will take place at 2pm upstairs at Murray’s Irish Pub and Grille.
