The 9th Annual Jim Hodge Memorial run is a 5k/10k race that started a decade ago to honor Jim Hodge a long-time member of the Bay Area Medical Center Board of Directors. Over the years, the race has raised over $150,000 to support local pulmonary patients, programs, and raise awareness of the importance of organ donation. Normally the run would happen in June; However, due to Covid they decided to push it back to August. Executive Director with Provident Health Foundation, John Hofer says, “We are essentially taking the spot the Waterfront run used to have.”

Hofer says, “we want this to not only be a fun event but a healthy event.”

Race registration begins at 6:30am with the race beginning at 8am. The kid’s half-mile run starts at 9:15am. The routes will begin at Veterans Memorial Park and stay on 1st street for most of the route. The 10k route crosses the Menominee River and goes as far as Red Arrow Park where it turns and heads back.  Those looking to register can go to jimhodgerun.org  or visit the Jim Hodge Memorial Run Facebook page.
