36-year-old, Dontae Damario Combs – Bland was charged with first – degree recklessly endangering safety, manufacture with intent to deliver THC, possession with intent to deliver THC, maintaining a drug trafficking peace, and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct. According to the criminal complaint, authorities were called to a Columbus Street home to respond to a domestic incident, where the woman told investigators Combs – Bland had struck her several times and pointed the gun at her at least twice a month. Court documents state that “This was the first time where she thought he was actually going to do it, though, because his finger was on the trigger and it looked like he was pulling it when their daughter stepped between her and the gun to protect mom.” The woman said Combs-Bland had sustained a brain injury some years ago when he was robbed and then fell out of a moving vehicle. He recently fell and hit his head, reinjuring himself and causing seizures. He has become more violent since the seizures started, according to the complaint. The responding officers noticed an odor of marijuana smoke, a blue smoking device in plain view on a coffee table, four large marijuana plants, and four smaller plants. They also found 23 packages of marijuana apparently packed for sale, ranging from 0.5 to 0.8 grams, court documents said.
