Russell Stevens was charged Friday, in a Brown County Court, with reckless homicide for allegedly trading a fatal dose of methamphetamine for a tank of gas. According to the criminal complaint, police were called to an Ashwaubenon hotel on August 1st for a welfare check. Police found a man, administered Narcan, but were unable to save him. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be toxic effects of methamphetamine. Stevens “confessed that he middled an illicit drug deal in which he supplied (the victim) with half a ball (1.75) of methamphetamine on August 1st, 2023. As payment for arranging the deal, the victim filled up STEVEN’s gas tank in his vehicle, “the complaint states. Police rejected a suggestion the death was a suicide, given the evidence in the case. Bond was set at $50,000 cash.
