Marching bands, floats, and Santa Claus have all been synonymous with the Menominee Downtown Christmas Celebration. That wasn’t the case the last couple of holiday seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the event is back in full force this year thanks to the Menominee Downtown Business Association. However, there are some changes to the event. Lucy Pier, MDBA Secretary says, “for this parade, in the past, it’s always been held in the evening and this year we’re changing it up and having it during the day.”

Pier says, “we are going to have a ceremony at the band shell.”

The Downtown Menominee Holiday Parade will be held on Saturday, November 19th at Noon. Lineup begins at 11am. A tree lighting ceremony, Santa Claus, and the giving of the first gift will take place in the bandshell directly after the parade. If you’d like to participate in the parade, please register online by end of business today at downtownmenominee.com.
