04/25/2019- Unemployment fell in Marinette County last month. The updated report released by Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development shows joblessness in the county came in at 4.5% in March. That’s down slightly from the 4.6% recorded in February and more than half a percentage point lower than the 5.1% seen at this time last year. Joblessness across Wisconsin held steady at 2.9% in March. That’s hovering just above the state’s record low of 2.8% percent unemployment in April 2018 and just below the 3% joblessness from March of last year.
