06/06/2019- The steel is removed and Marinette County is eyeing the next steps involved in renovating the former Law Enforcement Center on Ella Court in Marinette. The Infrastructure Committee reviewed Wednesday the bids submitted for engineering, architectural, and construction oversight services to convert the LEC to usable office space for various county departments. Four bids were considered and the Committee voted to invite Ayres Associates, UP Engineers and Architects, and Venture Architects to a special meeting June 20th to present their individual proposals to the Committee and the public. The estimated fees for these services ranged from $279-thousand to $288-thousand. The Infrastructure Committee is expected to select one of these firms for the LEC project at their special and bring that recommendation to the full County Board at the end of the month.
