04/06/2020- The Menominee County Prosecutor is offering an apology after Menominee’s Auto Credit Center was apparently mistakenly issued a Cease and Desist order by the Prosecutor’s Office and the Michigan Attorney General last week. Auto Credit Center was one of three businesses to receive such a letter after it was believed they were operating beyond the limitations laid out in Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Stay Home, Stay Safe Executive Order. Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Rogg now says that further investigation shows Auto Credit Center did in fact curtail their business to “minimum basic operations” and was in compliance with the statewide mandates.
