11/30/2018- It’s the unofficial kick-off to Christmas this weekend. Christmas in Marinette takes place all day tomorrow with a variety of activities to get the whole family in the holiday spirit. There are at least 30 entries in the downtown Christmas parade, which steps off at 1:00 PM. Jan Kust with the City of Marinette says while this is Santa’s busiest time of year, he’s always sure to make some time to visit Marinette for this event.
And, you can get some of your Christmas shopping done or maybe pick something up for yourself at the annual Holiday Craft Show at the Marinette Middle School. Organizer Stephanie Edge says the doors will be open from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM and the event gets bigger and better each year.
Christmas in Marinette is capped off with the lighting of the trees on Stephenson Island at 4:30. You can get more information about the schedule of events by contacting the city or visiting their Facebook page.
