04/10/2019- Some energy efficient upgrades are coming to the Crivitz School District. Thanks to the M&M Area Community Foundation, with funding from the C.S. Mott Foundation Clean Energy Initiative, the District received a $3500 donation to install variable frequency drives and CO2 sensing equipment on the air handling units in the Elementary/Middle School gymnasium and cafeteria. This project will significantly reduce energy consumption and allow for better air quality in these high traffic areas. The School District also received more than $1300 in Focus on Energy incentives for this work, further reducing the overall cost. Funding from the Community Foundation also helps provide opportunities for teachers to learn how to integrate clean energy curriculum appropriately in the current science coursework and for students to work with hands-on projects that provide experiences with recycling and waste reduction.
