03/23/2018–Today the 8th Annual Freezin’ 4 Reasons event will be held at the NWTC North Coast Marine and Advanced Mfg. Training Center on Main Street, Marinette from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm.   It’s sponsored by St Joseph Conference Marinette of the Society of St Vincent de Paul’s.  The purpose of this Freezin’ 4 Reasons event is to create awareness of homelessness of families in our service area.   These monies are deposited into a Restricted Fund at The Stephenson National Bank and Trust.  This fund is utilized throughout the year to maintain shelter or secure housing for Marinette and Peshtigo greater area homeless families.

Tonight adult chaperoned youth participants will be begging on Marinette’s Main Street at various stop lights around NWTC Training Center and at the corner of Wells and Main Street.   Participating Adult Business teams will be begging at other main corners on Hall Ave by Walgreens and at the base of Hwy 41 Bridge to Menominee MI.  

Guest speakers will share their life experiences of working with or being homeless.  The speakers will present a 10-15 minutes presentation during a particular hours between 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm
