01/27/2020- High water levels on the bay have already cost the City of Menominee over $100,000 and there’s more to come. City Manager Tony Graff says repair projects at Memorial Beach, near the Boaters Lounge at the north end of the Marina, and at Tourist Beach and Harbor Drive, along with the expected costs for repairing Victory Beach total $164,000. But there is more work to do at Henes Park and the River Park campground not included in those figures. Graff says River Park’s opening may be delayed due to the damage there.
Graff says the city should get reimbursed by their insurance carrier for somewhere between $70,000 and $120,000 for the projects done so far.
