09/25/2018- Wisconsin Public Service is alerting Marinette County residents near Caldron Falls and High Falls about upcoming siren testing. The sirens have been installed at these hydroelectric dams as part of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s safety program to protect those downstream of these types of facilities. The testing is scheduled to take place Wednesday, September 26th and includes periodic sounding of the sirens between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. In the event of an actual emergency, people are reminded to be alert for rapidly changing water conditions, monitor weather radios and local news for updating information, and move to higher ground to avoid flooding.
