The latest Theatre on the Bay production opens tonight. The 39 Steps, directed by John Thornberry, runs April 13th through the 15th and 20th to 22nd at the Herbert L Williams Theater on the U-W Marinette campus. The play is an adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 film by the same name. And, Thornberry says, while some viewers may be familiar with the story, they’ve never seen it told quite like this.
A second Theatre on the Bay show will run April 27th through the 29th. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead tells the tale of Shakespeare’s Hamlet through the eyes of two of the play’s minor characters. The production is Patrick Mines’ mainstage directorial debut.
Theatre on the Bay is in its 51st season. Tickets for The 39 Steps can be purchased online or at the door. Admission to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead will be by donation at the door.
