The Marijuana selection committee reconvened Thursday morning to hear statements from 11 applicants about their scoring rubric from Tuesday’s initial meeting of the committee. While there was concern about how the word “facility” was going to be addressed one company did just so as it pertained to them. James Martone legal counsel for the Fire station says, “the prior city manager acted at the time when applications were coming in and had the authority to interpret and identify what a new facility meant.”
“In hearing your arguments…we are still in an agreement as a committee that an addition does not constitute a new facility,” says Interim City Manager Brett Botbyl.
The next step in the selection committee process will be the Judicial / Legislative and Personnel and License Committee and then ultimately on to full council for final approval.
