Extraction wells will be installed at 8 locations. Expect a drill rig and other equipment in each area for 1 to 3 days and intermittent single lane closures at each location. Work is scheduled to start this week during normal business hours, weather dependent. Work is anticipated to take approximately 4 weeks to complete all locations. Work will take place at the Road Right-of-Ways including Oak View Rd., Edwin St., and Richard St.; City of Marinette Property; Tyco property along Ditch B; and Tyco’s Fire Technology Center. Extraction wells will capture PFAS-impacted groundwater that originated at the FTC before it enters Ditch B and re-route it through a treatment system prior to releasing into Ditch B. Future work will be the installation of conveyance piping and connection vaults, which will house the wells, which is scheduled to begin mid-to-late October.
