The Marinette County development committee discussed the redistricting topic Tuesday and approved one minor change which was the renumbering of three districts within the county.  As County Administrator John Lefebvre mentioned, “ the population of the county hasn’t changed much in the past decade but where people live have shifted somewhat and that could mean some slightly different supervisory district in county government.”

“To make up for that population loss we combined districts together”, says Lefebvre.

The redistricting plan will now go to the full county board on September 21st, which will also have the option to modify it. Once approved, it will then be sent to the districts for those entities to do their ward maps. It will then be sent to the full county board for final approval.
