Since 1928, the Upper Peninsula State Fair has delighted folks from all over as they experience and celebrate the unique culture of Michigan’s U.P. This year’s fair will run from today until August 22nd. It’s seven days of thrilling rides, enthralling grandstand shows and lots of blue-ribbon fun in 2021! Menominee U.P State Fair Authority Board Member Janis Linderoff says, “ there will be carnival rides this year.”

Linderoff says, “there will be livestock shows during the week.”

As a precaution Public Health Delta and Menominee Counties and the organizers of the U.P. State Fair have provided portable handwashing stations throughout the fairgrounds.  They are also offering free, single-shot Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine at the fair on Tuesday, August 17th  and Wednesday, August 18th from 10:30am until 7pm outside building number two, next to the First Aid Station.
