Menominee Area Public Schools is asking residents of Menominee to cast their vote in today’s referendum. This referendum is structured differently than the one that was declined in 2020. In this case, the school board listened to the feedback from the residents and brought back what they are voting on today. Menominee Area Public School Board President Derek Butler says, “the referendum is a $12million dollar ask.”

Butler says, “I believe that this referendum represents the future of our community and is needed to bring us into the future.”

The election is today, August 3rd. Polls are open from 7am to 8pm. If you live in the City of Menominee, you can vote at the Menominee Jr/Sr High School. If you live in one of the townships you can vote at the township hall. For information about the referendum,  you can go to gomaroons.org
