02/13/2019- It’s no secret drug abuse affects a user’s family as much as it does themselves and an event being planned for next month will dive a little deeper into that topic. On Wednesday, March 20, UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus, and the Women’s Giving Circle of Marinette and Menominee Counties, will host a community-wide discussion about the book, Beautiful Boy; a memoir by David Sheff that describes how his family dealt with his son’s addictions. Thanks to a grant from the UW-Marinette Foundation and individual donors, copies of the book will be available to check out at area public libraries, the NWTC library, several Little Free Libraries, and Anderson’s Culligan in Peshtigo. In addition, a few copies will be given away at the UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus Library on a first-come basis. The book discussion will take place in the UW Green Bay- Marinette Campus cafeteria and space is limited. Attendees are encouraged to reserve a seat by calling 715-952-2007.
