04/26/2019- Booths lined the Activity Hall of Marinette’s Community REC Center yesterday for the first annual Combined Area Resource Event Expo. The event was designed to foster business-to-consumer and business-to-business networking and featured vendors specializing in everything from finances to apparel to manufacturing. Lisa Ebsch owns the Janitor’s Closet in Marinette. She says the expo made it easy for guests to get a feel for everything that’s going on in the M&M and beyond.
Several of the companies on site took advantage of the opportunity to market their job openings to attendees. Phil Eatherton is the Human Resources Manager at Waupaca Foundry. He says as one of the largest manufacturers in the area, they’re continuously seeking employees and the C.A.R.E Expo allowed them to meet face-to-face with potential applicants.
Laura Rowe with Stephenson National Bank and Trust says they used the event to remind other vendors of the services they provide and their commitment to serving the community and its businesses.
In total, about three dozen businesses took part in yesterday’s C.A.R.E Expo.
