08/21/2018- A Carney man was airlifted to a Marquette hospital Sunday night after a traffic crash near the Bark River-Harris High School.
Michigan State Police say that 34-year-old Eric Laurin was on his motorcycle with his wife Tera when a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Mary Gaudette of Gladstone made a left turn onto US-2 in front of them at 6:18 Sunday night.
Laurin was airlifted by Valley Med helicopter to UP Health System for treatment of multiple injuries. Police say those injuries were not life-threatening. Laurin was not wearing a helmet. Tera Laurin, who was wearing a helmet, suffered only minor injuries. Gaudette was not hurt.
Several members of the Bark River Harris High School Football team who were at the school for pictures and an assembly assisted at the crash site.
