08/27/2019- It’s a question of where Menominee is headed next and how the City Manager can help them get there. The City Council met as a Committee of the Whole yesterday to discussion goals for City Manager Tony Graff moving forward. While each of the council members submitted their own suggestions, several were identified as relating more to general expectations of the job and Graff and others agreed there’s a need to differentiate between performance evaluations and specific objectives the community wants to see completed.
The consensus from the council was that they’d prefer to review a single document outlining defined goals for the City Manager, including a separate subset of daily and annual expectations and responsibilities. Mayor Jean Stegeman and the Judicial and Legislative/ Personnel and Labor Committee chair Bill Plemel will work on crafting that and will present it to the J&L/P&L in the coming weeks.
