The St. Vincent de Paul District of Marinette, in partnership with the M&M Area Community Foundation is asking community members to consider supporting the Friends of St. Vincent de Paul Fund held at the Foundation.
“The pandemic has dramatically increased the need for assistance within our communities while also making it very challenging for SVdP to provide services. Paula Gruszynski, Community Foundation Executive Director says the consistent revenue from the endowment the Foundation holds will stabilize the SVdP operations for years to come.
St. Vincent de Paul is home to the largest food pantry in our area, providing more than 98 tons of food and hygiene items to 1,000+ people in the past year alone. SVdP also operates a thrift store that provides a low-cost shopping alternative and offers direct support to people in need by giving away clothing, housewares, and furniture from store inventory.
Tax-deductible contributions to the endowment fund may be made in the form of cash, stocks, bonds, and mutual funds; and from a 401k, IRA account, or life insurance policy. For more information on donating to the fund, contact Gruszynski at 906-864-3599.
