07/17/2019- Have fun and keep cool at an annual event for the entire family this week. The DAR Boys and Girls Club’s Community Kids Day is tomorrow at the DAR on 8th Avenue in Menominee. Program Director Koreen Gardon says several activities including carnival games, bounce houses, and a petting zoo will be offered free of charge as a way to celebrate area kids.
About 400 people took part in last year’s Community Kids Day. Gardon says it’s a community effort, but one that businesses and agencies on both sides of the river are happy to take part in.
There’s no age limit to attend Community Kids Day, but children will need to be accompanied by an adult. The event runs from 4 until 6 p.m.
