09/13/2018- An informational meeting is being held next Monday near Coleman regarding the placement of a sex offender in that community. The Community Notification Meeting will take place at the Town of Pound Town Hall beginning at 6:00 PM to discuss the release of Jeffrey W Butler who was convicted and completed his criminal and civil commitment for First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child. Butler must comply with the requirements of all Supervised Release rules, lifetime Sex Offender Registration, and lifetime G.P.S. Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve says the intent of the meeting is to enhance public safety when releasing sex offenders into the community. Oral and written questions will take from the audience and answered by the panel and can be submitted at the meeting Monday night.
