01/15/2020- A pair from Oconto are facing homicide charges in the 2019 overdose death of a Marinette County man. 29-year-old Brian Blasing and 30-year-old Chasity Denny have each been charged with 1st degree reckless homicide/ deliver drugs and manufacture/ deliver heroin for supplying the drugs that killed Terry Westphal of Coleman. Last February, police were dispatched to a residence in the Town of Pound where they discovered Westphal unresponsive. He was pronounced dead en-route to the hospital, and it was later determined his death was caused by an overdose of fentanyl-laced heroin. Denny and Blasing were also charged in the overdose death of an Oconto man, though Denny was recently acquitted of that homicide charge. The two are set to make their initial appearance in Marinette County Court January 27th.
