10/09/2020- The COVID-19 pandemic is taking its toll on everyone, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, too. Stephanie Nault is Marinette County Extension’s Health and Well-Being Educator and spoke to the County’s Development Committee this week to provide an update on her division’s activity over the past several months. She says, as expected, much of their work has centered on the coronavirus outbreak and related issues, including increases in drug and alcohol abuse, suicide and other mental health concerns, homelessness, and issues involving children.

While there’s no quick fix to any of this, Nault says Extension is working collaboratively with multiple community partners to address the issues. One product of that is the development of a comprehensive COVID resource guide Those in need of assistance related to the COVID-19 pandemic can get information through this guide by contacting area food pantries, treatment centers, the VA, or by calling Marinette County’s Extension Office directly or visiting their website.
