Coronavirus cases in Marinette County have more than tripled in the past month as they continue the steep upward trajectory they’ve been on locally since early July. As of Monday, 2525 people had been confirmed to have COVID-19. One month ago that figure stood at 773. 22 Marinette County residents have died from COVID-19. Marinette County and the majority of the other 71 counties in Wisconsin now fall under the DHS’ new “critically high” activity level designation. Menominee County added 36 new cases and one death Monday, bringing their case count to 982 with 11 COVID-19 deaths.
