11/19/2019- Residents can learn more about the local PFAS contamination issue and planned remediation efforts for it at another listening session hosted by the Wisconsin DNR tomorrow. The event takes place at Marinette’s Community REC Center and representatives from the DNR will be on hand from noon-1:30 and again from 6-7:30 to answer questions and hear concerns from community members regarding PFAS cleanup and investigation and discuss the agency’s PFAS monitoring program for fish. Staff will also be available from 1:30-3:30 p.m. to answer one-on-one questions from the public. The meeting is the third of six the DNR will hold in the area as part of the department’s effort to provide open and ongoing communication about the contamination and related action by the department, as well as Tyco and other responsible parties.
