02/26/2020- Students at Peshtigo Middle/High School spent their afternoon Tuesday learning more about what life post-graduation might look like and how they can play a direct role in shaping the future of the community. During the first annual Peshtigo Area Career, Education, and Community Expo, students were given the chance to meet with industry and educational leaders to talk one-on-one about the opportunities that are available locally and how they can start preparing now for them. Peshtigo School District Superintendent Patrick Rau says it was an important event to show students that success can be found right here at home.
The expo was organized by the Peshtigo Area Chamber of Commerce and inVenture North. Tony O’Neill with the Chamber says although it was open to the public during the evening, student input played a big part in shaping the event.
In total, around 30 businesses, industries, organizations, and educational institutions were showcased at Tuesday’s expo.
