The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is urging drivers to use caution as more vehicles take to the road this time of year. And, they add, that doesn’t just include cars. Marinette County is one of several in the state that has begun allowing ATV and UTV riders to operate on certain local and county roadways. Motorists should slow down and wait for a safe opportunity to pass when approaching ATVs or UTVs on the road. ATV and UTV users are reminded to only ride in authorized areas, travel at appropriate speeds, and remain aware of their surroundings. Riders should also stay as visible as possible and operate headlights when on or around roadways as required by state law.
