09/27/2019- There are more resources available in Marinette County to keep prescription medications from being misused. A pair of new drug drop boxes have been placed at police departments in the Village of Coleman and City of Niagara. Both locations will accept unused prescription, over-the-counter, and liquid medications as part of an ongoing effort to keep these items from inadvertently falling into the wrong hands or being improperly disposed of. The drop boxes were purchased through a grant awarded to the Healthy Youth Coalition of Marinette and Menominee Counties. Coleman’s drop box is open to residents Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Niagara’s will be available Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 to 4:30.
