It is Election Day and whether you’re voting in person or absentee, ballots need to be in for both Michigan and Wisconsin by 8 p.m. tonight. Those planning to visit their polling station to cast their vote should plan on potentially long wait times and know that COVID-19 safety protocols including social distancing and encouraging mask wearing will be in place to keep both voters and poll workers safe. If you live in Wisconsin and still need to register to vote, you can do so today at your polling site, but if you’re in Michigan, you’ll need to visit your city or township clerk’s office to register. Either way, you’ll need to make sure you have a photo ID and proof of residency with you. Polls close at 8 p.m. tonight, but with the influx of absentee voting in both states and nationwide, it’s uncertain just how long it’ll take to tally results. 103.7 WHYB and WAGN 1340 AM/ 100.1 FM will carry local, state, and national race updates this evening as they become available.
