09/21/2018- When electronics and appliances stop working, they often end up in landfills, or worse, dumped on the side of the road, but, an event in Menominee next weekend will take those gadgets off your hands for free. The local Goodwill is hosting an Electronic Waste Collection Saturday, September 29th at Menominee City Hall. The collection is open to residents of both Menominee and Marinette and will accept televisions, computers, cell phones, microwaves, gaming systems, and more, all at no-charge. The collection site is behind City Hall and will allow one-way traffic south to north. Residents are asked to enter from 23rd Avenue near the compost site. The Electronic Waste Collection runs from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
