At last week’s City of Marinette’s Park and Recreation committee meeting the committee discussed the possibility of adding a security deposit to the enclosed pavilions at the city parks. Executive Director of Recreation and Events Gavin Scray says, “people are leaving the enclosed pavilions in a manner that are unacceptable. Meaning they are leaving garbage laying around and the doors unlocked.”

Scray says, “every community is different, and we all have different amenities or pavilions.”

After much discussion the committee agreed that a security deposit of one-hundred dollars was an acceptable starting point for the city and have forwarded this on to the common council for approval.
