11/05/2018- Theatre on the Bay takes the stage this week for the debut of their newest show. Eurydice premieres at the Herbert L Williams Theatre in Marinette on Friday. The play, created by Sarah Ruhl, is a contemporary take on the Orpheus myth from Eurydice’s perspective. Show Director and Producer Rebecca Stone Thornberry says even if you’re not familiar with Greek mythology, you’ll likely still be able to relate with the themes of the play.
Stone Thornberry says each of Theatre on the Bay’s productions come together in about six weeks. Local UW students are involved in nearly every show and Stone Thornberry says whether they’re working on stage or behind-the-scenes, they’re gaining valuable workplace and real-world skills.
Eurydice runs November 9th through the 11th and 16th through the 18th. Tickets for the show cost $14 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $10 for students. You can get tickets online through the UWGB-Marinette Campus website or at the box office one hour before show time.
