Four local non-profits are competing for a $5000 grant this month. The DAR Boys and Girls Club, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Brown County, the River Cities Habitat for Humanity, and the Tri-City Area United Way are all in the running for Flagstar Bank’s Flagstar Crafts Community Program, a new initiative that invests money into nonprofits in the communities of each of their 52 branch locations. The winners are selected by community vote, which can be cast in person at local Flagstar branches or at flagstarevents.com/community, with in-person votes given twice as much weight as online ones. Voting runs through April 25th.
