04/23/2019- The lights are on and the Four Seasons Resort on Miscauno Island is again welcoming guests. The resort was shut down about three years ago, but was purchased by a property management group in 2018 and for the past several months has been undergoing a series of renovations to restore it to its former glory. However, Jake Cline, General Manager at the Four Seasons Resort, says it was their goal to preserve the history and appearance of the iconic resort, so most of the work done occurred behind-the-scenes.
The Four Seasons has been taking reservations for weekend stays since the beginning of the month, as well as opening their Boundary Waters Bar and Grill every day of the week. Cline says guests are glad to be back and may even recognize a few familiar faces among the resort staff.
The Four Seasons Resort will transition to offering full-service seven days a week on May 16th. A grand opening event is also being planned for some time in May, but the exact date has yet to be announced.
