08/20/2018- For two years, the once-lavish Four Seasons Resort on Miscauno Island in Pembine has sat vacant. But now, a multi-million-dollar renovation project could breathe new life into the sprawling property. An Ohio-based property management group quietly purchased the resort and plans to partially reopen it before the end of the year, with a grand reopening of the entire property planned for next spring. Dave Nyquist is the Marketing Manager for both the Four Seasons and Pine Mountain Resort in Iron Mountain- another property recently purchased by the same company.
Nyquist says rehabbing the property’s golf course will require the majority of their time and attention, but he adds the entire resort will get a bit of a facelift before opening. He says whether guests visit for the day or book a longer stay, the resort will bring new dollars into the Pembine area and beyond.
Nyquist says management is still working to determine exactly how many full- and part-time workers the resort will need to employ. He anticipates they’ll begin advertising for those new positions in the next month.
