Families will have the chance to get out and explore Wisconsin’s waters, parks, and trails for free June 2nd and 3rd. The Wisconsin DNR’s Free Fun Weekend waives fishing license requirements, state trail pass fees, and state park vehicle admission fees to encourage residents to experience all the Badger State has to offer. While no fishing license is required during Free Fun Weekend, fishing rules such as limits on the size and species of fish that can be kept will still apply. For more information on Free Fun Weekend in Wisconsin, visit dnr.wi.gov and search “free fun.”

And, if you don’t want to travel to a state park during Free Fun Weekend, you can still venture through one of Marinette County’s 17 parks for free June 2nd and 3rd. The county is waiving admission fees these days for both their parks and boat landings, though camping fees will still apply.
