For children in need in Menominee County, it’s small donations making a big difference. The Spies Public Library is again partnering with the Menominee County Department of Human Services to host the Give a Kid a Book program this holiday season. Cheryl Hoffman, Library Director, says it’s the 27th year they’ve been collecting new and gently used books to distribute to kids of all ages whose families might not have the resources to purchase them. Hoffman says the program benefits young children all the way up to young adults and monetary donations will also be accepted to purchase additional books for distribution. All donations must be brought to the Spies Public Library by December 4th so they can be sorted and delivered to kids by Christmas.
